Sporting and challenge events
We provide vital help and support to vulnerable adopted children and their families. Each year we need to raise over £150,000 to continue providing the help and support that families need.
Sporting and challenge events are a great way to help us achieve these targets. Whether you want to run, cycle, swim or skydive there are lots of ways you can raise sponsorship to help us continue our vital work.
You could:
- Enter a running event
- Take part in a cycling event or organise your own
- Organise a swimming challenge
- Walk or Trek to raise money
- Do a triathlon
- Get muddy on an obstacle course
- Go skydiving
- Organise a sponsored overseas challenge
- Or create an event of your own!
For more ideas and details of specific events you can enter please take a look at our 2019 sporting fixture list. You can also take up one of our charity running places (see below).
How to join #TeamCCS
Signing up could not be easier. Just register for the sporting event you want to take part in (via their website and registration process) then email our fundraising team to let them know you want to raise money for CCS.

Collecting sponsorship
You can collect sponsorship online, by setting your own fundraising page with Virgin Money Giving or Facebook, and by getting your sponsors to fill in this sponsorship form. Please encourage all who can to add Gift Aid to their donations as this allows us to claim an extra 25p for every £1 they donate.
For information on how to set up an online fundraising page with Virgin Money Giving please take a look at this guide.
