Our toddler groups offer children an important opportunity to play in a safe environment with other adopted children, whilst their parents get the chance to make connections with other adoptive families. The main aim of the sessions are to promote and enable attachment through play using a varied range of play activities and themes including; music, books, arts/crafts and cooking, as well as free time to play with toys and explore their world. Experienced staff help to develop the children’s social and emotional needs at the same time as valuing and supporting the significant relationship between them and their parent/s.
The toddler groups are extremely popular and often oversubscribed, so it’s important that you sign up in advance to gain a place. The majority of families sign up to attend on a weekly basis for at least one term but in most cases stay for a year. If you are interested in joining one of the groups please contact The Centre by email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible since arriving without booking risks disappointment!
I have made friends during Tots and now meet them outside the group. Tots is amazing and has helped my child gain confidence around other children her own age.
