Our toddler groups offer children an important opportunity to play in a safe environment with other adopted children, whilst their parents also get the chance to meet other adoptive parents and share in play and developmental experiences. The main aim of the toddler sessions is to promote and enable attachment through play. We use a varied range of play activities and themes including; music, books, water, sand, crafts and cooking as well as free time to play with the toys and explore their world. Our aim is to promote and enable children’s social and emotional development at the same time valuing and promoting the significant relationship between them and their parent/s.
The toddler groups continue to be popular and well subscribed. It is very important that you sign up in advance to gain a place. Ideally in terms of planning the sessions and children building relationships, it is best that your child or children are signed up to attend weekly for at least one term and at most for one year. If you have not already confirmed your place with The Centre by email email@example.com please do so as soon as possible, as arriving without booking risks disappointment.
